SOL, Al Buhaira (Sharjah)

“If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.”
J.R.R. Tolkien

#eatsol is such a peppy place with amazing interiors and lots of wall designs. Walking into the place you’re sweetly greeted with the people working at Sol and blaring good music.

The place is relatively very small with very few arrangements to sit. But I honestly have this feeling.. that this place is going to be the next big thing. It has to be, I mean with the four things we ordered off the small but delicious menu, it’s bound to be a people’s favourite restaurant. I wish they open a branch in Dubai though! 😦

What we had;

Fajita Roll (Chicken) [26AED] : A lot of their dishes have shawarma in it. And by a lot, I mean like 85%. But I’m not complaining. The dish comprised of potato buns, chicken shawarma topped with fajita style capsicum and onions, garlic creme and Avocado Tarator. The buns were so soft and absolutely melted in my mouth. There were plenty of chicken and veggies in the dish as well and the sour avocado paste drizzle just bought the whole dish together. Yes, the the Fajita roll is a mess to eat an very very very creamy/ saucy which my friends did not like but I loved! The rolls came in two small portions which were absolutely filling. [4.3 / 5]

Kofta Slider (Meat) [28AED] : These two mini sliders comprised of potato buns, grilled tomatoes, onions, kofta and their special sauce. I don’t eat beef but my friends said the sliders were decent and the meat was very juicy and succulent.

Batata W Shawarma (Chicken/ Meat) [25AED] : This and the milk shake was the absolute star of my afternoon for me. These fries were outta the world!  Freshly made fries topped with generous toppings of chicken (or meat if you wish), jalapeño, fried onions, cheddar cheese and SOL sauce. Everything went so well with each other and the shawarma bought an interesting taste to the fries. One thing that was a little off was that the sauce was a bit too sour. But worth trying none the less. [4.7 / 5]

Oreo (Monster) Shake [33AED] : I could sit and stare at this shake for hours! The presentation on this was amazing! A 5 on 5 for that. It was huge needless to say. Four of us shared this, though it is the perfect amount for three people. I have had quite a few Oreo shakes in the past but this was different. It had pieces of hershey’s cookies and creme (my favourite) lots of whipping creme and the rim smeared with vanilla frosting which was amazing! The shake was drizzled with chocolate sauce and Oreo crumble. The shake was not too thick or too diluted which was a plus point. Also, with every sip of the shake, you would get mini crunchy balls in your mouth which was unexpected but yummy . [4.8 / 5]
