I’ve been craving wings off late and I have found the perfect place to tend to those cravings – Original Wings and Rings. This sports resto bar is situated 5 mins walking distance from Financial Center metro station. Situated in Liberty House in DIFC, concourse level, they provide valet parking but at a fee.
OW&R is divided in two, smoking and nonsmoking eating area but it does not make any sense as there is no such partition and being a non smoker you might as well eat at the smoking area.. either ways you’ll be passively smoking 😛
I love the interiors with comfy seats including normal table and chairs, high chairs and even sofas. There was a small corner for the band to play and the entire place was filled with televisions playing the game.
We got there just in time for their HAPPY HOURS; Which ends at 8pm (last order at 7:45) The person waiting on us was kind enough to come up to us and inform us that we could quickly order from the happy hour as the clock was clicking.

Before ordering, we were given a sampler with flavours and a plate of fries so that we could choose from those them and keep aside our favourites. I do wanna try Atomic – the hottest flavour next time!
What we had;
For the happy hours, we could buy the wings at the price of AED 3.99 ONLY! (minimum of 4 wings) and that is so amazing. We ended up buying 8 pieces of Parmesan cheese wings (boneless) and 10 pieces of BBQ wings (traditional). They have a few appetizers which you can choose from and are half priced. For appetizers we had the sloppy fries (Tex Mex Chilli on top)
Sloppy fries [AED39] – AED18 during happy hours. These fries were so basic, I’m not even kidding. As I don’t eat Chilli, they bought it on the side for my friends. They were just normal fries with tons of cheese – which I am not a fan of, and Tex Mex Chilli. I was famished, so I had just 2 or 3 fries. [1.5 / 5]
Parmesan cheese wings [AED65]: When you get any wings made boneless, you get 8 wings for the price of AED65 which I think is INSANE. Anyways, the flavour was spot on! Even though I am not a big fan of cheese, I absolutely LOVED this flavour on my wings. The chicken wings however was kind of chewy.. not chewy all the way but a little hard, yes. I loved it as a whole though. [4.1 / 5]
BBQ chicken wings [AED65]: The traditional wings you get 10 pieces at the price of AED65. You will LOVE these wings if you LOVE BBQ sauce. Its sweet and tangy.. exactly what I LOVE. These wings were cooked well, were juicy and the sauce was covered in each wing properly [4.8 / 5]
The wings came along side fries (additional AED8 for curly fries). We were also given medium spicy sauce on the side – which didn’t make me sweat one bit.

All in all, I loved the ambience, the service and the food a lot. If not for the sloppy fries, I would have rated this place a 4.5. Cannot wait to go to OW&R again and try something new! Will update this review SOON 😀
